Florida, home to Walt Disney World, the Jacksonville Jaguars, manatees and so much more is an unconventional state that we don't think you know as well as you should. It's hot, it's humid and sometimes it smells pretty bad – but there are plenty of other things about Florida that make it worth a visit!
When To Go ― When to go depends on the type of holiday you want, the kind of trip you hope for and your own preferences. One month is probably enough for a vacation trip in Florida, but fall and winter are the better seasons to visit this state because temperatures usually don't climb above the mid-80s. Spring is good for romantic getaways, following spring break. Summer can be stiflingly hot and crowded. If golf is what you want, spring and autumn provide the best weather for outdoor play.
Florida is fairly temperate year-round. In the summer, it is rainy and hot. August is hurricane season, so keep this in mind when you're planning your trip. Florida's winter is slightly cooler than the rest of the United States, and its beaches are less crowded since the weather begins to cool just like the rest of the country.
